My Honey come home tonight.

Sunday, May 06, 2012

He doesn't arrive until late but I will stay up to welcome him home. I am happy he is coming home as I have missed him. He had told me that he wants to diet for the next 3 weeks until we go back to Pennsylvania for the grandson's birthday. Obviously the three weeks he just spent up in Pennsylvania for the granddaughter's birthday included, pizza and Philadelphia cheesesteaks, and hoogies. I did well while he was gone. I ate out only the two times with his Dad until last night. After he told me that he wanted to diet I thought, hum........I better get my junk food fix then before he comes home. So I had asked my neighbor/girlfriend if she wanted me to treat her out, but she wasn't ready to leave her husband after his surgery. I wasn't going to go out but then decided, it was Cinco de Mayo, and the Derby so I went down the hill to our local Sports Bar where they have delicious chicken wings and had a half order of them and a piece of pizza and 2 beers. I ran into friends, which just about always happens down here since it's a small village and they insisted that I eat with them. It was a nice time. but then I came home and watched the wow Derby build up and such and ate some other junk...well, not total junk. Baked Bagel chips and peanut butter and a granola bar. Anyway it's so funny but after eating clean and healthy for so many weeks in a row my body is telling me today that I screwed up yesterday. Yep, feeling a bit off my game. The good news is that all I have to do today is walk the dogs. I will do that early as it appears it's going to be a hot day. Good day to sit by the pool and read.
Did any of you get a good look at the "super moon" last night? It was so beautiful reflecting off the lake and mountain. I wish I had the right camera equipment to get a good shot of it as it was fantastic.
Hope all my sparks buddies are having a great week end.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Sallie

Yes! The moon was gorgous! We were out doing yardwork until 11:00 pm and kept watching it. Very nice!
Glad your hubby is coming home. Sounds like you had a nice last evening of eating the fun stuff.

I'm sure you will be glad when your honey walks through the door. I couldn't see the 'Super moon' as it was overcast & raining here last PM. Wish all is going well & your friend is feeling better especially now that he is home.

Well the junk food is out of your system for a while. I got a couple a great pictures of the super moon last night. Hubby and I sat out until it came over the trees. We live in a neighborhood with lots of old oak trees 60 feet and more. So we did not see it until it was well high into the sky. I wanted to go to the beach and watch it, but Hubby was tired and I did not want to push him. Glad your love is coming home. So hard to be seperated for me

It's always nice to splurge occasionally so glad you had some good food and good times with friends. My good friend tooke me to a Mexican place for lunch yesterday and I wore my Tulum sundress. Thought it was fitting for the day. Welcome home DH, good hugs and snuggles to you both!

Fun food with friends :-) Sunds like it was worth it Sallie! You always look amazing. I am sure that with your normal healthy eating you will feel back in control in no time. Plus now you have gotten yourself back in the habit of doing your cross bow workout too! And! All that plus you hubby being on the same page as you means you will make some very quick progress this spring ;-)

I didn't see it. Sounds awesome though wish I had. Was busy all day pulling weeds so I didn't know about it!

Enjoy having hubby back home :-)

I can relate, I too have been 'naughty' KFC fried chicken with all the fixins, pepperoni pizza, chinese food and slackin on my walking has led to 3 lbs up for me. This week is very busy for me too so I don't see a remedy for this month at all, cause I have my trip coming up too. But...June I have a big party to host and have lots of back breaking work to do that should bring it back down.

We couldn't see the supermoon due to thunderstorms in the
area. I am sure it was lovely. Give DH a big hug and help him
with his new endeavor.

My DH got home last night after the second trip in a few weeks - good to have him home! I did get to enjoy the Super Moon last night by going on a really nice hike along a wide canyon, along the streambed - some people on the hike still wanted to use flashlights but I thought there was more than enough light from the moon - it was almost blinding if you looked straight at it!! Beautiful sight over the mountains!
