A fun past time

Sunday, May 06, 2012

I was given one of these blankets for Christmas one year and decided to make one for my granddaughter. My friend showed me her method and I loved making them so much that I buy fleece all the time and make them for everyone. I have also made a couple for funding raising events for friends. I make them based on the person and what reminds me of them.

This one I made to give to my goddaughter - she loves yellows and pinks so it works for her.

This one is for a fund raiser for a friend whose husband had cancer.

    WoW! They are beautiful.

I've always wanted to do this. I saw it on a show where prisoners were making them for dying prisoners. I'd love to know the details. My grandmother was a quilter unfortunately I was always "too busy" to learn from her.

Very beautiful. Who wouldn't cherish a soft fuzzy blanket, that's been made with love.

What a great hobby - euphemistically weaving a fabric through people's live.
