A dream is just a dream until it is written down. Then it becomes a Goal.

Sunday, May 06, 2012

How many times have we heard, "You need to write your goals down and keep them in view everyday" but yet we do not take the time to do so.
Sometimes when we do write down our goals, we set them way too high. We become disappointed in ourselves for not reaching the goal and most of us just want to give up.
Goals need to be attainable, realistic and doable. If you set a goal of losing 15 pounds in one month, is that really possible? It can be for some people but I know for me it isn't. I set a goal of 1 pound a week which fits all the criteria. It is attainable, realistic and doable.
Write your goal on a piece of paper or index card and carry it with you all the time. When you reach into your pocket or purse to get your car keys, it is there as a reminder of the goal you have set.
Sometimes we get off track and we lose sight of our goals. Keep your goals in view where you can see them to reminder you that you can be successful.
