Little Ranger Peak 5.5.12

Saturday, May 05, 2012

This was a nice gentle 6 mile hike through old growth to a rocky viewpoint. It rained a little and the clouds blocked the view of Mount Rainier but it was still a nice hike.

Great fungi shots. A little creepy looking, though. Very interesting, too.
The trail shots were very good. The trail looked well used, and clean.
That "ridge" you were shown on looked like a petrified pile of chopped wood that had sort of fallen over and then turned to stone. Very interesting.

    Thanks again. emoticon

Beautiful hike! I did look like climbing though so I was kind of surprised as the "gentle" description LOL. I consider a hike gentle if it doesn't have much climbing. But almost all in my area include climbing. Maybe the trail wound more gently up than I'm imagining it which could make a big difference. Anyway it's beautiful!
