Hi Y'all. Happy Cinco de Mayo.

We got another good rain (thunderstorm) last eve/night and the baseball field needed some attention before the boys could play today. Didn't hurt Josh's 12 yr old team - they beat the opposition 6 - 2. Yea!! Josh pitched a few innings (quite well), then took the position of catcher - something he has done very well for several years. Naaahh, Grandma's not proud or anything. Also, his parents got a letter this week from the school, late this month he'll get a Presidential award for scholarship, I think it is. (I think my buttons just broke! LOL). If only it were someone other than Obama......

This afternoon Josh's younger brother plays (on another field), and because it's warm and very sunny today, I've changed from blue jeans to a split skirt (what my generation used to call culottes). I'll be slathering on the sun screen, too.

I'm grateful for the rain, and especially grateful that our dog isn't upset by thunderstorms. She meanders from window to patio door to window looking at it all, but isn't all upset.
