Weekends are hardest for me. They are one of the sole reasons I'm not getting the results I had hoped. They have to be. They are so full of fun activities, friends, and of course FOOD! And with my birthday coming up this is very dangerous! I had to reevaluate my 5% goal for my birthday but I'm not quitting or giving up.
Today I am planning on an hour at the gym...you you read that correctly...A WHOLE HOUR! And its odd, I'm excited to see if I can make it! I am going to do 30 on the elliptical, some abs work and some great partner stretches with my amazing boyfriend! And yes, he is excited to go too!
The trouble comes after the gym this morning. My parents are coming to town to go to mothers day/birthday lunch at this glorious Italian restaurant called DeLucas...I am stoked- but it is going to be very hard to make a good decision. And I don't think it is fair that for my birthday dinner I have to forgo the deep dish pizza, breadsticks, and glorious pasta! But I'm ok with it.
I browsed the restaurants menu and I am thinking a greek salad and some brushetta and either a small meatball appetizer or a tuna calzone (just a small piece of course) would make great alternatives to cheesy goodness. It is my birthday (on the 9th) and I still want to eat and look good! Oh the challenge of a plus size woman.
