Remember that reward for hitting "onederland"?

Saturday, May 05, 2012

It hit me well after my weigh-in yesterday that I promised myself a reward if I ever got the scale into "onederland". Of course, when I made that promise initially a few years ago, part of me thought it would never happen in my lifetime!

Well, I was wrong -- it did happen!

So, what is my reward? A tattoo!

OK, don't panic SP friends! I have not done it yet! I'm pretty sure when I do get one it will be a greyhound tat, and it my not be until this fall when "Greyhounds reach The Beach" happens here in Delaware (Dewey and Rehoboth Beach) the first weekend in October. I know a tattoo artist that, of course is owned by greyhounds, and does some fantastic work! The only concern is if he meets the requirements my blood bank have so that I continue to give blood (I think the deal is he has to be licensed, etc). I believe he is from VA, so not sure what VA requires, so I need to check into it. Otherwise, I may need to check into one of the licensed shops here in Delaware.

Oh my! But WHICH Greyhound Patrick? You have had so many and they are all so beautiful and regal!

I love that weekend at the beach. Those dogs are so awesome...... and so are the owners for rescuing them!

    oh, oh, OH!
I'd also clarify with the blood bank how long after having a tattoo from any source a guy is on the blood-donor interdict list. Here they screen you out for a year for an awful lot of reasons. Not that I blame them, after the terrible blood scandals of a few years ago, too much caution is fine with me.
But, as to rewarding yourself in a way that is meaningful to you, good on ya! You've broken out of your Old Self in so many ways, breaking out this way also is a Good Thing : )
