Day 125: Learning to Deal With Cook Outs

Saturday, May 05, 2012

Today will be a busy day with 2 soccer games and then my in laws will be coming to a kick ball cook out. lol! Jacob wanted to challenge my nephew and BIL in a kick ball game so we're turning it into a cook out. We're going to make a fire so the boys can roast hot dogs and do smores. I've decided not to pout about it and make the most of it by trying a couple of new recipes. I'm going to make a quinoa salad, homemade baked beans, and have my array of salad stuff out too. It's funny, I don't even like hotdogs, I never have been a fan of hotdogs, but just the smell of them roasting over the fire makes me want to EAT!! Love that smell! lol! Same with the grill, or stuff roasting in the oven. And that's why I can't do too many things in the crock pot because it makes me hungry all day smelling it. I will deal with it though and I won't forget my sunscreen! :)
I am excited to say that I am 2 days into 164 again! YAY! I pray it continues this way or goes down again for tomorrows weigh in. I'll be happy if it just doesn't go up.

I'm with you on the cookout thing.. very difficult. In the past, I would pig out on everything. I look forward to cookouts!!

You will do fine, and tomorrow maybe you will reach 163. I know at the very least, you will stay within 164. Are you joining in on the kickball game? That would be a different way to get in some exercise. I can't wait until our basketball hoop is up. I used to play when I was a kid and I loved it... then I went into my shell.

You can do this, we can do this!! We are awesome women Sara. Glad to have you as a sparkfriend!! emoticon
