I'm a full on ADDICT over in Pinterest land these days! My head is just buzzing with great ideas on how to spruce up our diets, our workouts, and our house! I'm just shocked at how much I absolutely LOVE it! Oh how I wish I were on it (and it was available) when I was teaching and racked for ideas! Haha! ANYHOW....
Breakfast. It is one of my most experimental AND routine meals that I make. I get into ruts and make the same things over and over again, because they are healthy, easy, fast, whatever adjective fits... you know what I mean here. It was a big thing for me to actually start to eat breakfast, and now I am always on the look out for some good new ideas! Well, at our house, we are now obsessed with "Summer Porridge." An awesome combination of oatmeal, greek yogurt, chia seeds, milk, and DIY flavors, this breakfast powerhouse fills us up despite the small looking serving size! AND it keeps us full until lunch, how awesome!

I'd never heard of PB2 before reading about this a few weeks ago, but we still have some Amazon gift cards and figured, what the heck, we can give it a go! The first batch that we made we used both the regular and chocolate PB2 powdered peanut butters and bananas. Wowza, both of us just LOVED them! Today we whipped up some raspberry vanilla and blueberry maple oatmeal. We're really excited to try these over the next few days too!
I've been obsessed with all things mason jars lately (crafting, oatmeal, mason jar salads... oh my!), and I think that M is going to kill me if I come home with more, but we need more half pint jars for so that I don't have to make as many batches of oatmeal during the week! I do recommend you use the wide mouth half pints so that you can eat it right from the jar, by the way! We found some right at Walmart, and we also found the plastic canning lids there too, and both of us have grabbed these little beauties from the fridge on the way out the door this week! Totally portable!
I'm planning on making some of her oatmeal smoothies too, though M is far less enthusiastic about them... but then again he wasn't too enthusiastic about THIS idea either - he should just trust me more, shouldn't he? You know it!
I'm also gathering up my supplies to try my hand at make greek yogurt at home! I'll let you know how that goes, since I'm hoping to do that this weekend! Go ahead, shake up your breakfast routine!
