For the good, I was quite reasonable with my calories at breakfast lunch and snack today. I walked over miles, and increased my speed to 19min/mile for the first time. I was not hurting during or afterwards.
For the bad, I was out of turkey and chicken breast cold cuts, so I had leftovers from dinner last night as lunch. Unfortunately, this did not include a vegetable serving, nor did I get the fiber I normally have in my sandwich bread. Even worse, I was super hungry when DH woke up for dinner and told him "I don't care what I eat, I have been hungry for hours" The veggies and dressing I tried noshing on seemed to have done nothing to stop my hunger pangs. He came home with Arby's. I practically inhaled that roast beef sandwich. Then I started on the curly fries. The medium size container is really quite big, so I should have stopped halfway. I did not. I ate nearly every crumb so quickly that I never noticed the transformation of hunger to over-full. I am currently sitting here feeling uncomfortably stuffed. A little guilty too. While I didn't go over my total calories by a whole lot, I blew my fat recommendations by 9 grams! If I had stopped after half the fries, I wouldn't have had a healthy meal, but I would have stayed within the guidelines for the two categories.
At least I didn't even consider drinking the soda.
