Working it out (physically and mentally)...

I've had a tough last few weeks of work and been struggling a lot with my eating issues and feelings of guilt for cheating, etc...

Yesterday, I met up with my nutritionist for the 2nd time and she could see that I was "all over the place" (in her words) with my eating. But, she said it in a nice non-judgey way that I really appreciate her for.

Anyway, she does a sugar-detox plan that's basically exactly like the Whole Living Challenge/Cleanse that I started in February. So, I'm for REAL back on the Challenge, but this time being supervised and I think that's going to help me stick through it all the way. By the end of May, I expect a 100% improvement on my cravings for sugar and alcohol. And, I'm hoping to reach my April goal, which I've reset as my May goal. But that'll be a tough stretch.

I'm working out a ton, recently, though. And that has my mood up and my determination up. I hope that that helps me through this Detox and gets me to my goal of 189 by the end of May.

    Susie, what a wonderful nutritionist. Know she will help you through this. I loved that Whole Living cleanse and still go back to it for motivation and recipes. Remember, that's when we met? Who knew Martha Stewart could have such information. I always pictured her as kind of a Paula Deen, lots of sugar. Good luck and I'm right here with you. Still trying to lose the same lbs as in April.

    Big huuuuugggg hon. Glad you have some support and it sounds like a very loving person at your side.

    I am free of all sugars except the simple ones which are needed for the body to function which come in the form of fruit solely. I am a big fan of fruit - I think you know this.

    My mom died of alcoholism and it wasn't pretty. I had a slight fancy with it myself when I was young and partying. Lucky for me I had a personal example of what it could do to a person who I cared about. It has no hold on me whatsoever and I'm glad.

    You hang tough and know that you also have people here on Spark that support your strength and realize that life throws some big curve balls.
