Reading to stay motivated and on track.

Have you ever sat back and said to yourself, "Why do I even try to lose weight? All I do is lose then gain, lose then gain. I might as well just get use to the fact that I am always going to be fat!" That is where I was 4 months ago but I have set myself a goal to read a motivational book each month. You might say that you do not have time to read but if you have time to play games on the computer or watch your favorite TV show, you have time to read. Now I don't mean that you have to read for hours! Set yourself a small goal to read just a page or two each night. Soon you will find yourself to just read one more page and then you realize that you have read a chapter. You will be amazed at what you learn and also that you will find yourself not reaching for a snack because your hands are busy holding the book or turning pages. Reading instead of snacking? Sounds good to me. emoticon
