I've noted before that every Wednesday is Taco Day. I may have to change that to Mexican Day, since we had quesadillas instead of tacos this Wednesday. They were homemade and amazing!
In addition to Mexican Day on Wednesdays, we have Pizza Day every Friday. We always have two Sodebo pizzas, and we eat both of them...and sometimes more.
At least, we *did* eat both of them...until today.
Today, I tracked my food. There was no way to make that second half-pizza fit into my calorie budget. No way whatsoever. It just would not happen. Therefore, I had to make a sacrifice. I decided to eat half the cheeze pizza, and only 1/4 of the chorizo pizza, as the cheese one has fewer calories than the chorizo one.
My fiancÚ paused a while before reaching for his final slice. YES! Perhaps he wouldn't reach for it. Perhaps we'd both just forego our final slices. It would be soooo much easier if neither of us was reaching for it.
But he did, and he ate his. I instinctively sat forward and reached for mine as well, but quickly withdrew my hand. No, I was not going to eat it. It would throw me over my calorie allowance. I would regret it later.
So, no, I didn't eat it. Actually, I requested that fiancÚ put it in the fridge (and to get me my glass of water...teehee!). And there it rests, waiting for one of us to eat it for lunch tomorrow.
I'm proud of myself!
