just sad

Friday, May 04, 2012

So last evening I got a call from my son that the latest foster child who nobody else wanted and who they have been taking care of the last two months, Is now wanted by his biological family. He is five months old, they didn't want him or visit at the hospital, but now that he is 10 pounds 11 ounces they want him.
my son and his wife helped baby gain weight. they gave him their love and attention and though he is still fragile, all of a sudden people are coming out of the woodwork to take him.
my son and his wife are so devastated.
They were told this child was available for adoption.
Not to be on the county rolls but to be a permanent member of our family.
But now we do not know. I am heart sick. Baby has so many medical needs and may be challenged but they wanted him anyway. Please pray for God's will.
But they really want to have a child to raise.

Praying for your family and the newest grandchild. This is a heart wrenching tale. I am sad too.

The task of caring for a challenged child was probably too much for the birth family at first. The baby should stay where he is truly loved and cared for. I won't even say what might happen to the child if he is moved to a family that can't decide if they want him 'full time' or not.

I will continue to pray for the baby and your family. We will keep asking God to intervene, and do what is best for everyone.
May you find comfort in the fact that the baby IS loved very much, and he knows this.
