....I feel free.

I made a big change in my life yesterday. For some, it may not seem so big. But for me, it might as well have been crack cocaine.

I quit Facebook.

I know, right?!

Well, I didn't quit it forever, just taking a short hiatus. But by reading the comments on the post that alerted my peeps, you would think it WAS forever. LOL Drama queens. ;)

When I signed out last night, I almost instantly felt better. I felt...relief. I may have even slept better.

This morning, no facebook. I checked my email. Canceled an order for a Kindle book that shouldn't have happened, got my kiddo off to school, came home, cleaned out the cat box, did the dishes, swept the floor, made my Shakeology, mopped the floor, vacuumed the carpet, made a to-do list for the kiddo, refilled a couple prescriptions, cleared up the refund situation with Amazon --who was actually a delight to work with, and now I am ready to workout, mow the yard, and wash the car. I have a few other things on my to-do list, but do you really want to hear about it? Prolly not.

My point is, it's only 9:30 am and I have already done more in that time than I would have normally gotten done on a facebook day. Sad, no?

I rather like it. I may keep it up forever. Maybe make the weekends facebook time. Who knows. We'll just take it one day at a time. :)

But I feel flippin great.

I'm with you! I haven't quit completely yet - it is the only way that I know some family news - but I could certainly do without most of it!

LOL Tara!! No, thankfully! He's only 14... my son accidentally purchased Lone Wolf, which he has in paperback. o.O $12.99!!! It's cheaper in paperback ffs! Apparently he purchased several, but only one went through. In his defense, he's half blind and can't see the small type and didn't realize. Poor kid.

Ugh I am soo over facebook.. I get very annoyed with it because my grandparents use it as gossip and call and say things to my parents that I post.. and once I had an interview didnt tell people at my current job and my neighbor posted about the interview. We got engaged and it was on facebook before I even told my Brother.. It drives me crazy- I also have people that are alwasys updating with their depressings status' and its not something I want to hear when I try to keep positivity in my life.. But do you know how hard it is to delete people it took me 2 hrs and I only got 200 people deleted.

Great idea! I don't even want to think about how much time Facebook sucks up. I have been trying to cut back, but maybe cold turkey is the way to go.

You go, girl!!! I think you did the right thing. That's why I quit playing apps other than Words with Friends and usually only sit down to facebook with a timer when I'm taking a break otherwise I spend waaaaaay to much time on there.

Have a great rest of the day!!

Be blessed!
