Improved breathing through cardio!

I shouldn't be so amazed -- but when it happens -- it's so awesome that it's amazing!! Through swimming over a LONG period of time - my cardio and breathing are SO MUCH improved!! I've gone from not being a swimmer anymore (used to be) to being a slow but long-swim endurance type swimmer, to working on something VERY difficult -- INTENSE swimming! Now that is hard, really, really hard.
Last night on my swim something amazing happened. While swimming, after taking a few minutes of a break, I probably swam the fastest I ever have!! Like WOW!!! It was amazing! Through this process my breathing and cardio is improving so much!!
So I want this to be an encouragement to others -- we have to work for it -- one step at a time -- or in swimming -- one kick at a time... The results are far worth it!!
On a Monday something may feel too hard to accomplish, but don't give up. Tuesday comes and it's the same or a little easier - don't give up. Wednesday comes and it might be boring, a little hard, and doesn't feel like you're getting anywhere, but don't stop now. Thursday comes, the same, don't give up. Friday comes and... What? It's just a bit easier, wait, was it easier? Yah... Easier - but the pounds didn't fall as much as you wanted - but wait, don't stop now, don't give up.
Monday comes and it's a little easier, and a pound came off, and looking ahead the journey appears to be so long, what difference will it make? Wait - don't stop now - don't give up. You're just starting your journey and way down the path is where the results of your hard work show up.
Don't stop now... Don't give up!!
