Weekly Update (5.4.12)

Good Morning & Happy Friday my friends! What a week this has been!

First off...weights...
4/27 - 169
5/4 - 166

Second off...the workouts...
been doing well with them. Monday was my first day off in a while, but I needed to just take it easy that day, with the finger and all. Which, by the way, is feeling way better. The tip of the finger is still kind of numb and funny feeling. I'm not going to lose the nail though, so yay!

Tonight is Emily's first of 5 life guarding classes. Tonight they do all the swimming tests (swimming 300 yards, treading water for 2 minutes, and a rescue test). They have to pass all the tests in order to continue on with the classes. I know she can do this, but if you could all send her positive energy, warm thoughts, etc. that would be really cool!
After tonight, then it's studying the books this weekend, and a written exam next weekend, and also the CPR certification.

The boys are doing good too, just nothing really new to report about them!

Otherwise, everything here is going well. Going to finish writing a paper today for school, and then I'm down to 5 weeks left of my associates!!

Tomorrow I will finish the first week of the Spring into Shape Bootcamp challenge. Turns out, the videos used for the challenge, are the ones I've been using over the last 2 to 3 weeks to tone up. So it's not any different than what I had been doing. I can feel my muscles coming alive all over my body. I can really feel them in my stomach...just hope one day I can see those ones. I swear, I'm losing, but my stomach just is not getting any smaller and some days I think it's gotten bigger! Maybe all those muscles are pushing my stomach out more??!! LOL!

Then again, last year it was not until I hit around 165 that I noticed my stomach really starting to slim down. Guess it's the last thing to go...go figure!

OK, so that is all here. Going to go get my workout in, then eat breakfast, and then...well who knows what the day will bring! I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!!

Edit - My good friend there asked about the not-smoking, and I hadn't even thought to mention it. That's because the further out I get, the less I think about it. Yes - I'm still smoke-free and today is day 13! I'm feeling great, no longer having cravings, and am thinking less and less about it. I'll be stepping down (or is it up?) to Step 2 of the patches on Sunday morning. I can't wait to be done with the patches and just done all together!

Congrats on being smoke free. I quit smoking in 2003 and it was by far the best thing I ever did for myself. So proud of you.

Thanks for stopping by my page. I have been busy helping my Sister move to her new apartment. We finished last week - Woohoo.

Back to exercise this week and doing well.
    Nice to hear from you.

You are doing amazing! So proud of you for sticking to the not smoking, but I knew you would do great! I think that my belly getting smaller is always the last thing I notice too. Maybe because it's always the one area we want gone the most. LOL

Beth you are doing great, ( 166 emoticon ). Good to Emily, she will well.
Those boot camp video do work and I am on d5 in the first week and i am hoping to see some muscles. We are driving to Halifax to pick up the car for service and tire change and have a visit with Patty (D) this weekend.
By the way thanks for the advice on the calorie intake, I can see why I have been stuck for I have been consuming same number for over a year (go figure emoticon ). I do try to eat clean but I am very successful yet but will keep trying.
Have a blessed weekend and happy studying.

Girl, you're doing awesome!!! Congrats on the, what? 3 lb loss?! OMG. You're getting it done. You have so much on your plate with the kids, school, injuries and yet you still find the time and self motivation to get it done. Way to go! All the best to Emily and her tests. Keep up the good work and enjoy your weekend. In the 80s there lately I saw, OMG. I'm so jealous. Here I am just a couple hundred miles east and it was in the low 50s and cloudy/rainy.

    Take care and stay healthy

For some reason I had missed your blog on your accident with the finger and I just went and checked it out. My God, this must have hurt a lot! I'm glad it's starting to heal!
I'm sending tons of positive energy and thoughts and lots of good luck wishes for Emily. I'm just sure she will do great!
I know what you mean about the stomach thing. Always last to leave, always first to show in case of a slight gain! It's stubborn but what we can do is get stubborn, too! We'll get it off eventually!
3 pounds!!! You rocked this week!

I hope you have a wonderful day and I know everyone will do great in their testing!

The "finger thing" horrified me! I saw the photos you posted and can remember what it felt like to have the car door slammed on my finger. That seemed to happy to me a lot when I was a kid. (I also got my finger caught in car windows, too.) I am so glad you are healing at last!

Congratulations on the weight loss! Stomach "svelte-ness" is coming, I just know it! emoticon emoticon
