Tuckered out

Thursday, May 03, 2012

It has been a productive couple of days. Found out that the neighbor is going to get his fence finished on the ninteenth which means that next month I may be able to begin the process of building a fence across the back of the property. I spoke with Michael this evening and after the first of June he will get the posts set for me. I have to wait til then to get the finances around.
Today I got another honey suckle vine to get going. We like the first one I put out a few years ago so much that we have discussed getting another one. I found one the same color this afternoon and I planted it this evening.
Transplanted some mums. Will have to wait and see if it rains and if it doesn't I will have to water everything good in the morning.
All the drive and around the yard got sprayed this morning. I did a lot more than I did the last time especially out back. I really reached through the fence and over it as far as I could and had a steady little stream of the spray going. This is a different brand than I have used before so am hoping that it works as well, not if better. Time will tell.
Michael and Mark are coming over tomorrow and hopefully we will get the shelf fixed in the closet so I can get that finished. If it is not raining or too wet out we will also fill in some holes where I dug up mum plants. I am just not up to carrying bags of soil right now
Moved five mum plants this evening. I know it is really not the time to transplant them, but they had to be moved from where they were so I really had no choice. I believe that they will do okay, especially if I cut them back which I will probably do tomorrow. From what i have read they are supposed to be trimmed back until the end of June and then let grow and they will make more compact flowers and not be falling all over.
It is late again tonight and I am going to see about heading to bed for the night.
God bless all of you
You are in my thoughts and prayers

You amaze me at all the home and gardening stuff you do. I bet your place could be featured in a magazine!

We are getting ready to move back to TN. Two years in the asphalt jungle makes us yearn for the rural life we had before. DH has a new teaching job there. Praise God! We're leaving in the morning to start house hunting.

Just want to give you a belated "Thank you" for the goodie you sent. Good to touch base. God bless YOU!

No wonder you are tuckered out...you really got a lot done :) The yard is sounding great..I'd love to see some pictures :)

Today I didn't even go out for any chores..headed to Weyburn (our close little city) and ran errands all day..picked up 50 more trees for the shelter belt..stopped by hubby's office with paper work and the warehouse for some supplies..paid some bills..got vaccine for the cattle for when we brand (maybe next week) and got groceries and did a bit more shopping.

I picked up a flowering plant and a solar light for my dear friend and neighbour who just lost her daughter...my thoughts have been with her and her family and prayers to comfort them. The funeral is Saturday.

My daughter is going through a really rough time and has no sitter for her 2 school age kids... I'm so torn to think I should be there for her but she lives 4 hours from here and May is one of our busiest months! I do hate to see any of my children struggle..it breaks my heart but I can't always be there for them...I'll just put it in God's hands and He will provide the solution. Time to quit trying to be the fixer and let God....

Sorry to ramble on...thanks for dropping by my blogs and for your always uplifting comments and reminders :)

Get lots of rest ....Hugs and prayers..Donna
