5k training schedule

Thursday, May 03, 2012

Inspired by Carly, I've adapted one of Hal Higdon's running schedules to suit my own training.

Link to Schedule:
tinyurl.com/7qsnntu

Sat = speed interval day
Tue = distance day
Thu = timed run

I am going to focus on getting in the miles, at any speed necessary. If I'm not feeling well one day, I will walk the whole thing, but I will stick to the schedule no matter what.

    So I'm a little late in reading this, but I must say that I'm feeling inspired by what you said toward the end of your post: "If I'm not feeling well one day, I will walk the whole thing, but I will stick to the schedule no matter what." I have started the bad habit of just skipping exercise when I don't feel like it lately (which is turning out to be quite often). I like the idea of letting yourself go easy if you're not feeling well. And knowing how I go, I bet once I get started I'll start pushing myself anyway. So thanks for posting this! :-)
