I feel stuck at Monday

Thursday, May 03, 2012

Okay- this week has got to end. Monday was horrible and although it has gotten a little better, it's not where it should be. I got the news Monday that I am below where I need to be production wise at work. In other words, I need to step it up. I was also having system issue with the STUPID computer. I did get permission to work like 1/2 a day on Tuesday so I could go to my 6 year olds "Summer UnBirthday" at school. I was going to work over time to try to make up some of the time I was going to be missing the next day and to start trying to catch up...but well, it was Monday! and that was bad enough. I had to stop at HEB anyway for cake mix to make cup cakes the next day, cup cake carrier and dinner that night. By the time I got home and realized my 10 year old didn't even start her chores, which consisted of doing dishes, I was rather irritated. I had to clean the kitchen before I could even get dinner done and cup cakes made. So much for the nightly walk!!! AGRH! Oh! And my 10 y/o got jealous over the 6 y/o's summer unbirthday, that she decided to ask her teacher if she could have one too...Really??? And according to her, I can't make the cupcakes or cake, I have to buy one. Well, what's even worse, I can't be there either since it's a week and half before vacation and I am already behind at work.

Tuesday, I took off a bit early for my 6 year old's "Summer UnBirthday," While I am there, my 10 y/o's case manager for her 504 plan decides we need to have a meeting because my daughter has decided that since there is no more STARR testing that school is over and so there is no use in trying or even doing the work. She is failing 2 out of 5 classes. Great!!! Just what I needed. I do however get my walk in before going to pick them up from KINS. I needed it. I had to blow off some steam.

Wednesday, I got up and was at work by 6:30 am. and by the time I got home at 6:15 pm, I was wiped. I fell asleep on the love set for a bit. My wonderful husband woke me up and told me to go to bed. Great idea!! Except once there, I was tossing and turning all night. Not a very restful sleep.

Today, well I was at work before 6:15 and I did leave on time. Why? Because the girls have Cheer practice. So, while I am waiting to take them to that, I decide to look into a membership at the Family Y. Oh boy!!! I don't think after our vacation coming up in June, paying for 4 weeks of camp for the kids through my company, and everything else that we will be able to swing that for a while. Plus, I have more than a month to fill with childcare somewhere some how.

But, today I will get my walk in. I HAVE to. If I don'[t, I may go off like a bomb!!! Oh! and I signed up for May Pac and passed it along to some others who I am hoping will join us on Spark People....that's the most exciting thing next to the Avengers tickets my husband bought today for Sunday.

The rest of the week is planned like this so far:

Friday work early, leave on time, go to HEB for groceries, home, dinner and bed.

Saturday morning, I have to make it to the SA Parks and Recreation Site to try to register the girls for summer camp. Then off to work I go for 8 to 10 hours.

Sunday: my husband bought 4 tickets to the new Avengers movie - 2D, at Alamo Drafthouse.....YAY! After that, we will come home and start getting ready for another week.

So, I still feel stuck in Monday mode. Hopefully it will end soon.

Well, gotta get the girls to Cheer practice so I can go for my walk.

Have a great week everyone!

Okay - you have had quite a week. Sorry you had to go through all that. I can relate on a little of it though...

My son is late on his Science Fair project, which is a major part of his grade. He told us it was not due yet and then we got an alert from the school that it was late. He then told us he had not done the project, although he was planning on it (right!!). He decided the day before when he knew he was late that hew would just make up the data and the teacher was okay with it.

Kids!!! One day they will learn and grow up to be responsible...right??

Keep strong and Spark On!!
