Okay, remember when I said I was going to change to full body circuit workouts to concentrate on fat burning? Well big surprise, I'm not enjoying it.
The whole time I'm going through those weight/cardio cycles I'm wishing I was doing pure strength. The weight segments don't seem hard/heavy enough and just when I get my pump, we're switching back to cardio. It could just be me but when I'm lifting I get in kind of a "zen" zone and the intermittent cardio in these circuit workouts just shatter that for me.
I'm surprised because I really like Cathe's Boot Camp, Cardio & Weights and Circuit Blast so I figured I'd enjoy her other harder circuit dvds but now I'm doing High Step Training and High Step Challenge and they're just not doing it for me. Maybe its just those DVDs
I still enjoy Cathe's Low Impact Series but even when I increase the impact, they're just not hard enough.
STS has been whispering my name since I started these circuit workouts so I'll try one of those tomorrow. If I like it better then I think I'll do another round of that or I'll do Cathe's split routines and do pure cardio every other day
