Eating out...

The restaurant we’re going to this weekend is a casual, family-friendly place…lots of burgers, fried food, sandwiches, etc. I’m debating about whether to try to eat as healthy as I can or just eat whatever catches my eye.

Based on an online menu, these are the choices I’m debating…

Somewhat healthy: baked spaghetti (with a side salad and garlic bread), deluxe grilled chicken sandwich (meal option includes one side), or baked haddock meal (meal option includes two sides and choice of roll/biscuit).

The not so healthy: lasagna (with side salad and garlic bread), bacon cheeseburger (meal option includes one side), stuffed haddock (I believe has two sides and choice of roll/biscuit), or seafood basket/platter (not sure if it includes anything else).

Of course, I don’t know what the specials are going to be…which could be very tempting if I can’t make a solid choice before then.

Anyway, that's been on my mind since I was told we were going to eat out. It's a family member's birthday, so it'll be fun.

    The haddock sounds good too.
    I'd skip the bread & have dessert instead. But I've got a serious sugar problem...I'd skip the whole dinner & have nothing but dessert, if people wouldn't be shocked. LOL

    Enjoy your time out with the family. It’s ok to eat unhealthy food on special occasion when you eat healthy the majority of the time. I’m sure you will make the best decision after you consider your goals and what motivates you. Grill chicken sandwich sounds good to me…
