Thursday Morning

Good morning kids..............

Well yesterday was Nansday. Kenny went with me this time because Nan asked if he could please help her with some things. No problem off we go. She had a sewing machine in a portable case she wanted to put into a cabinet. Ok fine lets do this and get it done. She failed to tell us that the sewing machine weighed about 30- 40 lbs and old very old. Even the case it was in was heavy.

So OK we start, we get the screws out that is holding it in the portable, and off to the cabinet (which I might add is in the room two rooms away) Where she failed to us that hinges in the cabinet were broke. On top of it all she had oiled the machine the day before. So now we have oil all over us and a broken cabinet. When asking her what she wants to do, the answer is very simply. Me thinking like the way I think figuered she was going to put it back in the portable case. I couldn't have been more wrong. OH NO we are going to get it in that cabinet if it is last thing we do.

So off to working on the cabinet. Now keep in mind Kenny is in no way good around the house, I am the one who fixes the stuff that brakes in my house. And most of the time it is Kenny who brakes it LOL So told Nan there was no way we were going to get that machine in the cabinet. She is hell bent to make it work. So with a little filing on the cabinet and around the hinges we could get the machine in the cabinet. Of course, now that it is there no way she could lower the machine into the cabinet to close it up. Alas she as happy a pig in muddle puddle on a hot day.

Now were off the back yard (By the way that little project only took 2 hours) She want us to help her put the rest of rest of the legs on her gazebo. Great she has already got the top and poles all together and the canvas is on finish the legs and were good to go. So we get the legs on and put this gazebo where she wants it. She then says let grab a bite so off to the kitchen. We eat rested a few and I said we need to go back out there and tie the gazebo down. and also put the velcro around all the poles. She said we would do it later. At that point we had a little breeze.

We woke up this morning with ugly weather very cold and very windy, and it will be wet later today. I'll bet you a quarter that Nans canvas is blown down. Bless her heart if it is she won't complain that's just how that woman works. Gotta love her.

The other day I told you that I asked Kenny to cook to dinner that night for us, he said no problem what's thawed out. OPPPPSSSSS Am I Bad. I forgot to take something out of the freezer. So I say, "Well why don't you run to store and get whatever you think you might want to cook". Off he goes. And he is home in no time, What did that darling man bring home to fix, are we bar-be-queing, or have pork chops or chicken, or something he made up in his with hamburger. He's so good about making stuff up in his head and throwing it on the stove and it always comes out good. So what did he get>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TV Dinners ARGH!!!! Not exactly what I had in mind, but he cooked them by gosh and did it in the microwave and that is the one appliance he hardly ever uses. LoL Just gotta love him

So anyways kids I hope you all have great day. Keep smiling

Nan is such a wonderful friend and I am glad you and Kenny are able to help her.

I do have to agree with Missy. I am waiting for the "first edition" and I want a signed copy!!! lol

I'm thinking Kenny didn't want to spend too much time cooking. When I went to the eye doctor today and they dilated my eyes, I told the girl I would have to get DH to take me out to dinner as I wouldn't be able to see the stove. You should have heard Ken laugh when I told him. Our stove is six burners with double ovens, etc. lol

You always know how to brighten my day. I'm definitely smiling!!!
Blessings, love and hugs,
Helen
