Projects, projects, projects

The patio stones are down and the four bags of mulch were put down and I realized I needed more, so it was back to Home Depot and this time I got 12 bags of the mulch. We already four of the new ones emptied. Still gives me eight bags to play with. I already know where one of them is going. It will go under the grape arbor. I need a thicker layer under there than what I have.
A couple of times today there was a hummingbird flitting around in the back yard. I know there are plenty around but we have not had much success in attracting them. I am praying that we will see more and more as things grow and blossom.
I thought that there was a possibility that all 5 of the Rose of Sharon shrubs were killed by the frost. They just lost their leaves and I noticed today that there are new leaves popping out on them. The same thing with the grapes. I planted a new vine not long ago and it has gotten broke off or maybe the rabbits ate the top part which had leaves, I don't know which, but am hoping that it lives and grows. The two small lilac bushes I planted at the same time are doing great!!!
Jeff told me today that after living here almost 7 years, I should just about have the yard the way I want it. I told him to dream on. This is a yard in the works and it will be for years yet to come. I know that we are both enjoying the fruits of our labors.
I thank the Lord for His insight and guidance so that I have been able to get what I have gotten done and know in my hear it is what it should be. I praise Him every time I walk out the kitchen door. It is so hard to realize that when we moved here there was not a tree, flower or anything in the back yard. There was a tree in the front. It looks so different and will continue to change as I expound on my ideas
Time to get busy again
God bless all of you

Barb, you continue to amaze me. Love hearing about your different projects.. anything to do with gardening just grabs my attention! I'm pleased for you that the grapes and Rose of Sharon are coming back. Isn't it wonderful when they surprise us? Reminds me that each plant that emerges is a blessing from God.
Jeff is funny isn't he?
Bless you my friend!
