Insanity and goals for 5/2 -5/8

That is how I felt when I was doing Insanity's fitness test tonight. Here are my results:

Switch Kicks 60 (felt great to do that many)
Power Jacks 22 (still impressed)
Power Knees 69 (still going strong)
Power Jumps 10 (A KILLER!!)
Globe Jumps 4 (just glad I didn't hit my head on furniture)
Suicide Jumps (Burpees) 4 (I can't jump doing these because it hurts my back.)
Push Up Jacks 3 (I am weak.)
Spider Man Plank 10 (Happy to be able to do them)

I have to say I never do real push ups. I had to with the Push up Jacks and when I tried to jump my feet out I literally fell on my face. My son laughed but told me to get back up and just do them without the jump. That is how I was able to do 3.

Now my goal for the second week of BLC19.

I really think I am insane. I am going to do Insanity for the next 6 days. My son told me that you do it for 6 days and then rest on the 7 day. I will modify anything I can. I want to do this because I feel that I am getting into a rut with my exercise.

My reward for doing Insanity:
I will buy myself a book on healthy cooking or physical activity.

My Barriers:
My fear of hurting myself is my biggest barrier. The next barrier is making time for this exercise.

Success Strategies:
Modify anything that I can. Also if my son is home have him help me on my form. I will bring a change of clothes with me to work so I don't have a reason not to be ready when I get home after work.

Now I am sure you all think I am insane. I have been wanting to try Insanity for awhile and I think this is the perfect time for me to try it.

I am thankful for:
1. My son being able to laugh at me and be helpful at the same time.
2. Having friends that encourage me.
3. Zumba!!!

    Keep us posted on your progress! I've also thought of trying this so I'm really curious to hear from someone who is actually doing it. Good luck! Think successfully completing the whole thing may deserve a much bigger reward than a book though. Maybe Disneyland? Like when the pros win the SuperBowl or the World Series? You CAN do it!!!

    I love Burpees, next to Jump Rope, Squats & Lunges but it really kills me LOL

I like your success strategy and reward, go for SUCCESS INSANITY!
