April Fitness Challenge - comme ci comme ca

Results/Reflections: Well, I did not lose 5-10 lbs., only 1 lb, which is nice but not fast enough progress for me. Looking back at the month, I realize that even though I did reach my goal of 1500 fitness minutes, went over, in fact, there were too many break days where I did not work out for whatever reason - going on weekend trips was the main culprit - and there were too many days of not staying in my calorie range - emotional eating!

For May, I will watch my meals more closely and work harder at making morning workouts a habit so that when I go play on Friday night, the workout is already done and I don't have to choose. I feel like a nightly yoga/meditation routine instead of tv will help to keep me focused, too. I need to make my weight loss goals happen more quickly! I want to go into my 40's looking hot and feeling great!

    your right it is a learning process. its ok to have a bad week or even month. lord knows ive had a lot. the key is to get back on track. you know you can do it as you have done it. good luck and dont worry to much about how many mistakes you make. i like you want fast results but one thing i have come to terms with is it wont happen. i keep losing and gaining the 10 pds i lose and that needs to stop! There are lots of people here to support you!

    Yeah, I think I mean social eating, not really emotional eating. Like, on the weekends I'm having fun and I have a couple beers then I care a little less about what I'm eating then I have a couple more beers. It tends to get a bit out of control before I realize or admit what's going on!

And then the next day I'm ravenous and I crave mac n' cheese or ramen!

Last night I went over my calories. I had been doing well and we had a great soup with lot's of veggies and lean ground turkey for dinner, but there was bread and I had too much!

But it is a learning process and I can just keep trying! Today I'm being very careful and I'll do a little extra workout!

    My April was kind of the same. I think I lost about 2 lbs, which is good, but, well, its like I coast through the whole month, exercising a lot, but also eating a lot. Not losing weight (but at least not really gaining) and then bam, the day after my period, I lose 2 lbs. lol

I need to stop the social eating... well, actually, its more of the social drinking! I usually account for it in my calories, but lately I've been cutting it close, if not going over. I'm definitely hungrier because I'm exercising more, but I need to re-focus on watching what I eat.
