This Has Got to Stop...

Wednesday, May 02, 2012

I need someone to come to my house & KIDNAP my laptop at 10:00 P.M. every night. Stayed up till 2:00 A.M. last night...was up a few times to the bathroom (thanks to having six Clementine oranges in the eve. They are truly diuretics...) & then slept till noon today. I am fortunate that I am not working & can sleep in, but I know that I am messing with my SP program by not getting the right amt. of sleep at a "normal" time. Needless to say, I missed breakfast, but had a good solid lunch. I'm going to a soccer game at 6:00 (won't be playing...haha) & hope to get some walking in before the game & at halftime on the outside track. Need to get in another solid meal before I take off for the soccer game. Take care & have a good day...

I LOVE the timer idea...I use it a lot when I am working on projects around the house, esp. those that I don't want to do or are boring...Thanks for sharing...

There was a time that I spent way too much time on the computer (especially SP). What I did to stop myself from doing this is I set a timer in the AM for a certain amount of time and than shut it down. If I had time later in the day I would repeat the timer and shut it down again after it went off. I almost felt like I was going through withdrawals for a couple of days, but eventually got to an amount of time that I could live with. It is worth a try.... emoticon

I agree that they are addictive. And I work on one so it is sort of a win-win situation!! The timer sounds like a good idea.

If I didn't have to get up for the kids, those would be my ideal hours.

Perhaps you can set a timer to allow yourself only so much computer time?

Enjoy your game!
