I am so SORE!!

To start off, I have to give myself a pat on the back. I have been so good with my eating. I am proud of myself. Ok, enough of that!!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go to a special class given by Jackie Warner. My friend entered a contest through Fitness magazine and she won. And, of course, she thought of me. I did my spin class in the morning (didn't know exactly what we were doing with Jackie). I didn't need to!! We got to 24 Hour Fitness early, but that was ok. We settled into our spot and waited. Well, in she walks and was ready to go. It was 50 minutes of go, go, go. We warmed up, yes, warmed up, with the 300: 10 set of 10 reps each of squats, push-ups, and crunches. Yes people, warm up. Then, it was (can't remember the exact order): mountain climbers, front/back lunges, tricep dips, bridges, squats with side leg lift, planks into a T, dead lift with walk out into a push up, UFC (in a squat, go down on knees, one at a time, then up one at a time, staying in squat. KILLER), jumping jacks, reverse crunches, pendulums, planks with knee to elbow touches, side leg lifts (on all 4's) into a straight leg. I think that's close to it. I was sweating. After, we got a goody bag: fitness hat, a DVD by Jackie, a resistance band and a plain t-shirt. Then, questions and pictures with Jackie. She had 5 books that she was giving away. Yup, guess who got one? I told her, "Hey, I had 4 kids!" and she handed me one! I told my friend that I'd share it when I'm done. Only fair thing to do.

After that, we were starving. It was about 7:30 by then. There was a Koo Koo Roo, so we stopped in and shared a meal: original skinless breast, butternut squash and broccoli. It was so yummy. For dessert, we had a tall decaf skinny vanilla latte! It was a wonderful evening.

Today, I am sore! I think I'm going to just walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Tomorrow, I am starting with my TRAINER! Yup, forgot to tell you guys that one. I can't wait. So, more soreness is coming my way. I'll let you all know how that goes. Oh, and I'll try to post a pic of me and Jackie Warner. I looked horrible, but, I"ll do it anyway.

    Oh wow sounds like "fun". Actually I think it'd be great to be pushed hard like that every now and again. Hope that soreness has dissapated by now.

  Congratulations on the eating and exercise successes! I love getting that type of soreness. Just reading your description of the workout wore me out!
