# 14-May goals (my birthday month!)

It is MAY! My most favorite month of the year. Flowers are blooming, the weather is warming, and of course it is my birthday month. I turn 27 tomorrow and honestly even though it has taken me forever to lose this weight I am proud of myself. I feel better at age 27 more than ever! My clothes are lose fitting, I can sustain on an eliptical for 1 hour or longer (when I used to only last 5 minutes) and I am eating healther than I ever have!

Towards the end of April I really just sat down and had a talk with myself...I had been making excuses and yes I was maintaining my weight but had not lost anything in months. I thought I needed to do something. Turns out my old gym membership expired and I was free to choose a new gym. A new one opened up very close to me and they are strongly against muscle men types that drops weights, grunt, judge, etc (which is why I hated my old gym) so I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love it. Everyone is polite, it's clean, and they have a ton of equipment to use. So far I have made to the gym 4 times last week and 3 times this week.

Here are my goals for the month of May:

-Work out at the gym doing cardio 5 times per week
-Work out at home on Saturdays
-Take an off day on Sunday
-Do strength training 3 times per week
- Eat 1500 calories a day
-Try to get in at least 5 servings of fruit and veggies daily
-Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day

I am completely motivated and excited to meet my goals! I hope everyone has a fantastic and successful May 2012!

You have set wonderful goals for yourself and it is great that you are already seeing results, are proud of yourself, and feel better more than ever.

You are correct in that selecting the right gym makes all of the difference.

    Awesome goals Ash! I'm glad you like your gym. That makes it so much easier to make it to the gym and want to go there.

    Awww, happy birthday, girl!!! You do look fabulous and you are doing a great job! I think your goals sound great and it will definitely help you shed more weight. That is my same goal too. I want to work out 4-5 times a week doing cardio (running). And strength training on the weekends. I want to stay between 1200-1500 calories. I would love to meet up with you and go for long walks. emoticon emoticon
