# 14-May goals (my birthday month!)

It is MAY! My most favorite month of the year. Flowers are blooming, the weather is warming, and of course it is my birthday month. I turn 27 tomorrow and honestly even though it has taken me forever to lose this weight I am proud of myself. I feel better at age 27 more than ever! My clothes are lose fitting, I can sustain on an eliptical for 1 hour or longer (when I used to only last 5 minutes) and I am eating healther than I ever have!
Towards the end of April I really just sat down and had a talk with myself...I had been making excuses and yes I was maintaining my weight but had not lost anything in months. I thought I needed to do something. Turns out my old gym membership expired and I was free to choose a new gym. A new one opened up very close to me and they are strongly against muscle men types that drops weights, grunt, judge, etc (which is why I hated my old gym) so I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love it. Everyone is polite, it's clean, and they have a ton of equipment to use. So far I have made to the gym 4 times last week and 3 times this week.
Here are my goals for the month of May:
-Work out at the gym doing cardio 5 times per week
-Work out at home on Saturdays
-Take an off day on Sunday
-Do strength training 3 times per week
- Eat 1500 calories a day
-Try to get in at least 5 servings of fruit and veggies daily
-Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day
I am completely motivated and excited to meet my goals! I hope everyone has a fantastic and successful May 2012!
