Failure

I have been doing a lot of thinking about my weight loss journey lately. I believe that when you get stuck, you need to look at where you have been, what you are currently doing, and what needs to be changed.

You know that saying, Failure is not an option? I have decided that Failure IS an option, if that is what you choose! I joined Sparkpeople in March 2008, and I was a sparkpeople success story in September 2009, but in March 2012, I felt like a failure. Why? Because I had stopped doing everything that had given me Success in the first place. I stopped logging in my weight here at SP because I didn't like seeing the number go up. I was embarrased so I hid from my sparkfriends. I found it hard to spark. I randomly logged in, then disappeared again. I was on a path to destroy my success. I was choosing Failure. This Spring I decided this had to stop. Hiding wasn't solving anything. So I starting sparking consistently in March 2012. I am proud to say that I am now back on track. I have gradually increased my fitness to my successful levels of 2008. I am Sparking. I am doing challenges, I am tracking my food and fitness. I am working out consistently. I am choosing Success!

I originally lost 100 pounds, kept it off for 1 year, then slowly gained back 25 pounds by not sparking.

Here is where I am starting as of May 1st, 2012, at the beginning of the SP Spring Challenge. I am posting this so I have a comparison in 4 to 6 weeks.

Weight: 185 Clothing Size: 12 Waist: 34 Hips: 46
Energy Level: Average

Before starting this challenge, Strength Training was non-existent! Cardio was 15-30 minutes of walking the dog and random exercise videos.

Current Plan for Exercise:
ST: Just started a new program at the gym for upper and lower body. At home, crunches for my core.
Cardio: Mile Challenge, 10 minute SP videos, Cycling, Elliptical.
Goal: 60 minutes exercise daily.
