Making 'it' happen...

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

In unpacking my craft stuff, and let me tell ya there is a lot of it, I ran across old journals and found 'my list'. You know the one filled with big ticket items, must haves, goals, aspirations, things you wish to 'one day' conquer. To my amazement, I need a longer list! Some of these things I had aspired to do since I was a young teen have just recently been crossed off but there they are done done done. Everything, except knit and play guitar. I let it sit on my night stand for a few days, as a reminder to all I have accomplished and all I have to be proud of. I was inspired to begin a new list. I wrote down
**weight 145 *gasp*
**Be the proud gardener of a lush edible garden
**Make my 1st pull up happen
**Go wine tasting
**Take my daughter to California
**Play Guitar
**Learn to knit
**Take long drives to little towns for brunch with Calissa.
**Become a certified Trainer
**Get my new tattoo x2
**Create a ridiculously Lavish Boudoir for myself!

... why hadn't I done this? Why hadn't I done any of this yet? What has been stopping me, all I did was write them down and my want for these things overwhelmed me. California is far away, expensive, time consuming, but man I always miss it, I always want to go back, I want to share the amazing child my baby has become with my family and friends. My gramps has been ill and needs to see me soon! Okay, so what if the last time I weighed 145 was in high school I have the drive and determination, this last 60 lbs has surely proven that! I dont know what has been stopping me but I decided to not put these things off any longer.
I AM GOING TO CALIFORNIA THIS MAY FOR 12 DAYS! Just me and my daughter who arnt used to taveling I may add! I am going to weigh 145 by end of summer. I will do my 1st pull up. I am going to nurture my edible garden! I will get my guitar restrung and practice. I am going to make a long-long list of everything I know I can and deserve to accomplish!!! Who's with me?

Your goals are wonderful! I don't think I've ever created a list, just had "goals" floating in my head. Your summer sounds awesome!

    You can do it!!

If you do not hit the wine tasting in CA you can hit 290 in the summer here.
May you 'pick' a cool song to pick away at.

Does that pull-up include weeds? that would hit 2 with one ... plant. LOL

You're the 2nd person to post there "to do's" or accomplishments. I have seen my list from 10yrs ago and it is the same as what I have written recently. So I will write my list by the end of the week.

So glad you made the commitment. Thank you for sharing. Tori emoticon
