Broken Oven :(

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

The heating element on our oven went out... The top of te stove works but we will have to buy a new element before we can bake anything though. If its not one thing then its another, lol. Thank goodness I have a job! I thank Jehovah all the time for that!

Things are going pretty well. Tonight we had a nice family study. Things always seem so busy though. Wish I had more spare time sometimes. But on the other hand keeping busy is a good thing for me.

I find that my daily prayers are veeery important though. And I have to MAKE time for them. Its just like anything else thats good for me, I have to CHOSE to do it and realise that its going to help me so much. My prayer is at the top of the list for me. It keeps me anchored, along with my Bible study and meetings.

Well I'm going to sleep now. I want to get up at some kind of decent time tomorrow so I don't sleep too long on my day on my day off, LOL- I wonder what the weather will be like. Too bad no one meets for service here on Tuesdays!

My crock pot gets a lot of use and helps me a lot when I'm going to have a busy day. I loved your comments on prayer and choosing to pray. I agree, we need to choose to do things and set that precious time aside. Take care!

You can do wonders in your crock pot. I use mine all the time for soups and stews. I use my stove top steamer for my veggies, you get all the nutrition and mixing them adds that extra awesome taste.

Remember that you can always invite some to join you on Tuesday. Maybe next Sunday you can invite a group out to work on Tuesday together? Get to know some others? Maybe they are just waiting for someone to ask? Just a thought. Hugs

I remember when you were about 5 or 6 years old we lived in the apartments across the street from your grandma and the only thing we had to cook in was an electric skillet. The stove in that apartment did not work at all. I got very creative with that skillet. We had recieved it for a wedding present. LOL Don't worry you will get it figured out. There are many ways to cook a meal.

Give my love to everyone. MOM emoticon

Good luck with that oven! At least you have your burners. You can cook whole meals on the stove top. Do you have a slow cooker? They work well instead of ovens in a pinch.
