Yesterday my town held a Fun Run in support of my cousin. 1.5 miles of overcoming obstacles. I brought the kids with me and met up with the rest of my family there. What obstacles did we face? Well...first off I did the course with my 3 year old ;-) Actually, we ran the length of the football field (my cousin is on the football team), than we crawled under the ropes (don't know where that came from), we did a nice hike through the woods (he's an outdoorsy guy), next came the 3 year old's favorite, we went through a mud pit (my cousin is always in the mud on the four-wheeler), a nice jog over to the next station and we went through the tires (football drill), and finally a long and slow (poor kid of mine) back to the football field and a slap on the goal post ended the journey. What a wonderful way to help raise money for my cousin's family and bring the community together! Nothing had to be bought for the event, the community donated time, supplies (water, tires, MUD), and transportation of the supplies to and from the event! I love living in a small town at times like this!
