The Joy Fit Club

My gym buddy Monica told me about a book she bought for inspiration, The Joy Fit Club. At first I thought, I do not need another diet book, but I went to look at it in the bookstore anyways. It isn't really another diet book. Reminds me of a chicken soup for the soul combined with a cookbook. It is page, after page of inspirational stories of people who have all lost more than 100 lbs. Each story includes a little box with tips from each person and a list of what they used to eat and what they eat now. Each person did their own thing.
Today I read a letter written by the 5th grader of a morbidly obese woman. It was so touching and honest. This 5th grader knew her mom was extremely unhealthy and likely to die at a young age because of her weight. She talked about her fears as a child of her mom dying on her. She ended by saying Obesity is hurting you and you really do have a choice. That obesity is 100 percent curable.
No more excuses.
No more reasoning.
I am going to get this done.

This is me today. This is my starting point. From this point on it will be all about creating a healthy lifestyle. I am not on a diet. I am living my life in a healthy way.
