Having a rough time getting going today

Sunday, April 29, 2012

I was up at 5:45 this morning and at the grocery store by 6:30. I love doing my shopping at o dark thirty on a weekend. I was home and had groceries put away by 8:30. Had laundry on and breakfast done by 9;00. I worked some in my room and closet, but found myself extremely short tempered. I even threw a plastic shoe box down when it wouldn't stay where I put it.

Decided I needed to take a break. I did throw some laundry in the dryer (which I need to get out and fold now) and popped in "Fellowship of the RIng" for a little bit. (also watched the specials on TLC about William and Catherine. Can you believe it has been a year already! My Stars!) Time for some lunch, to put my roast on to cook, throw some more laundry on and attempt to do some more on my room. I WILL accomplish something today, darn it!

It is a beautiful day out today. I wish weekends were longer...*sighs*

Sounds as if you needed some time to relax without feling uncomfortable about it. I'm glad you finally sat back and watched the movie.

Your day sounds like a reasonable mix of productivity and maybe-a-little-less-than-productivi
    ty.
You're right, you don't need to get it all done at once! One step at a time works with SO many things........
    Be patient with yourself, OK?

All righty then! *throws hands up in defeat* I will take the hint... The Universe is trying to tell me that I don't have to finish everything right this minute. I am getting upset over stupid things(most of which are my fault). So, one more load of laundry to throw in the wash, fold what I just took out. Put new pillowtop mattress cover on my bed, then put clean sheets on and make it up. Get stuff ready for work color my hair and eat my dinner. Speaking of which, my apartment smells so freaking good right now. Reminds me of Sundays when I was little and mama made this succulent roast.

Right at this moment I am sitting with a tall glass of ginger ale I flavored with a slice of lime and watching some more of "Fellowship of the Ring." I'd forgotten how much I love Aragorn and how lovely Arwen is. Time to relax a wee bit and enjoy what is left of the weekend,
