Sunday. Weigh in day. Start of a new week.

I'm down 1/2 lb this week. Not what I was hoping for but I will take it. My 30 lb goal still alludes me, but I know I will get there soon enough.

I joined the 28 day boot camp challenge so I'm hoping that will kick-start something. I'm going to do the first video as soon as I'm done with this. Wish me luck!

I'm also going to start tracking my water. I don't really care for water and have trouble forcing it down. My goal for this coming week is 8 glasses a day. That's about seven more than I usually drink!! emoticon I'm already done with one and part way into my second.

I continue my battle with incorporating fruits and veggies into my diet. This past week wasn't good in that respect, so I am renewing my focus on adding freggies to my diet. I stayed in my calorie range every day last week, so I'm doing well on that. Now I just need to focus on what those calories consist of.

Also this week I'm going to focus on non-scale victories. I need to really pay attention to the fruits of my labors. It's hard when you aren't seeing much movement on the scale to keep remembering that you are progressing.

Here is my NSV for today:
Yesterday DD2 and I went shopping. I needed to get a prescription filled and pick up a few groceries. As we drove by Goodwill i remembered it was 1/2 off day. I asked her if she had any interest in going, she shrugged and said "sure". The place was packed and since neither of us were looking for anything specific we just kind of wandered for a bit. And then I saw them: while denim Capri's with a button fly. So cute, but only a size 22. I wear a 24 pretty comfortably these day. It used to be that most 24 fit as long as they were an elastic waist. Now I can fit into most any size 24, but 22???? I decided to buy them anyway; they were $5 and I was confident that I would be able to wear them at some point this summer. Took them home and decided to see just how small they were. I know you know where I'm going with this: they fit!! Perfectly, not obscenely tight or anything. Perfect! I am so excited to wear them! emoticon

    Just stopped by to thank you for the positive encouragment on my page! I love your background. lol. Looks like me(minus the towel, shoes, and about 125 pounds, lol.)

    I just finished the day 1 cardio video. The good side I got through it! It really kicks butt! Did not do the 30 seconds of jumping jacks, I just sort of kept in motion during that. I would not like to see what I look like while I do this video emoticon However I got my heart rate up to 144 (my target high is 127) and the average was 122. So even though I could not keep up with Coach Nicole I got myself a cardio workout. Let me know what you think after you are done.
emoticon on the capris, that is great! I strongly advocate for you getting to 8 glasses of water. I don't think I could live drinking only 8. I am now routinely drinking 10 to 14. My body demands it. If I am cold I substitute hot herb/green tea instead. Have a great week and let's compare notes as we go through this bootcamp together. We will do it!!!!!

    Oh, I am so excited for you & your NSV!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon So, even though you haven't hit the elusive 30 pound mark yet, you've been losing those inches. I have a feeling, very soon, you will be pleasantly surprised. I plan on doing my first boot camp video today, also. Together we can do it. Have an awesome day, my friend.

    Yeah - they fit. See, you should give yourself more credit, you're on the right track. emoticon As for the water, have you tried a little lemon, or other flavor you like, in it? I have heard that tea can count as water, do you like tea? I also have a hard time getting in all the fruits and veggies I need a day. emoticon Good luck on your quest !! emoticon
