Getting Better and a Scale Victory

Today I am listening to my body and staying home. I felt very ill last night and even though I'm feeling better today, I think I should stay home. There is a good chance that I am contagious. My son is feeling better today and doesn't seem to have a fever anymore, so that's a good thing. I need some more sleep, but I got up to call in sick, make sure things are okay there, and check on my son. Then I was so hungry, I had to eat something. Feeling hungry is an excellent sign, because last night I was so sick I wasn't hungry much at all, and when I did eat I got sick to my stomach every time yesterday. So far, not feeling that badly. I'm going to treat myself gently today. I wish my son would do the same and treat me gently, too!

Today I am celebrating because I have lost 1 more pound! That brings me to 3.5 lbs. lost this week! :-) Woohoo!!! This is very unusual for me, as it is usually just one pound a week. What I did differently this week was I kept to the lowest end of my calories on my recommended calorie range except one day I was at the high end. I also did a lot of exercise this week, about an hour a day and sometimes more. It wasn't grueling workouts, though. It was mostly walking and dancing. I also did that 10 minute SparkPeople cardio kick boxing routine, and those are pretty good, so I'll be doing more of those. Well, it is working!! Hurray! So glad to have the scale show the change I've been seeing in measurements and other NSVs. :)
