For anyone who used to peek in on me...
I became one of the unemployed on Jan. 5th this year. Within 4 days I was enrolled in the local Junior College to acquire the skills that I was fired for not having. I am about to finish up my 1st semester in the next month. Two of my 6 classes have been hell! Hopefully I'll pass them!
I'm in the Administrative Assistant Program which, just this semester, has been deemed worthy of an AA degree. So, I am attempting, for the 3rd time, to get my AA. I just have to finish the classes that are specific to the Admin. Asst. major, and 3-4 Gen.Ed. classes: History, Math, possibly a second Math class, and some 1 unit, online, library class every student has to take now to graduate.
By being fired, and not offered a sideways move in the company, I qualified for unemployment. Unemployment approved me to take courses at the JC to 're-train". So, it might seem that I am home free...
Wrench in the cogs: My ex has chosen NOW to see if he can stop Spousal Support. (Litigation is what kept me too busy to pursue my AA during the 2nd attempt.) So...this summer I will try to take classes, and go to court with the ex.... *sigh*
..and the treadmill helps me feel better about facing the day!
