When I woke up this morning and looked out my window -there was some gently falling to the ground white stuff. The temperature was right on the freezing mark. Great workout weather. Indoors :) So I hit the elliptical. As I was trotting along, I couldn't help noticing the balck grit all over. The high winds had left their deposits with a vengeance. It was time to get busy and clean. After 60 on the elliptical, I had breakfast then vacuumed. Then I was washing my floors when my mop fell apart, first the telescoping handle wouldn't hold its position (boy do I hate those) and I had to go up down, up down as the handle slid back and forth while I tried to move the mop head, then the back of the handle end fell off. Yes, I cussed a blue streak, but I was determined to finish the job even if I had to get on my hands and knees with the bloody thing!! That accomplished, I got out the cleaning cloths and wiped down my elliptical, the window shelves, the heating unit, and had to change my water. Then when I was wiping down my old green swiss ball, probably the first time since I got it ten years ago, I noticed I could get the white streaks off if I scrubbed hard enough and long enough. I have a stippled ceiling that regularly sheds small white pieces. When I sit on my ball, it unfortunately crushes these pieces and they stick to it good. I took a good hour and a half cleaning every white speck off and my ball looks as good as new :) Its a losing battle though. Even after I had just cleaned my floors, I could see the white specks already back on it in places. Then I had lunch and scrubbed down my dishes, kitchen, and the bathroom sink. Called and whined to Mom about the mop and said I needed to go shopping after all :P So we went to Wally World as well as Dollarama where I found a little cream boat to replace the one Mary broke at the club. She broke a fancy looking plastic one , but all I could find was this plain white ceramic one, but the price was right.
Then it was home and club work, making up posters and tickets for our BBQ Awards Night at the club, the fun part of my job :) The good news is as I was talking to the lady who was organizing it to make sure of the menu, I found out she has a daughter expecting. So Now I am offloading the prize I won for new Mom's. I didn't want anything in return, but she is insiting on giving me a movie pack from Costco. I will be able to take Mom to a movie :)
Lousy weather all weekend, perfect to stay home catch up on club work and chores. Two loads of laundry to finish my day and a quick Spark, late as usual :P
Have a Super Sunday all!
Hugs,
Linda
