I joined the Tame Your Sweet Tooth Challenge and it has been great for me. I know that sugar is a tough addiction for me and I can't control myself on it just yet. So while the challenge helps you slowly reduce your sugar intake, I went a step further and pretty much cut out sugar. I do have a tablespoon of flavored creamer in each cup of coffee in the mornings, but that is a huge cutback for me so I eventually want to get rid of the flavored creamer, but I am not ready to give it up just yet and that is okay. I will get there on that one, give me a little more time. Anyway, the only really bad craving I had this week was for something ooey, gooey, and chocolaty. The craving was big, but every time I thought about caving and giving in, I realized that ooey, gooey, and chocolaty helped get me overweight. I realized that ooey, gooey, and chocolaty just pretend to be my friends while laughing behind my back and clinging to my hips. I realized that I really don't need ooey, gooey, and chocolaty. They can be replaced with sugar-free gum who is my friend and comes in great flavors that sometimes tasty chocolaty (I am a HUGE fan of Mint Chocolate Chip gum). Gum doesn't cling to my hips or laugh behind my back knowing it is full of calories. Gum helps me get through and manage. So ooey, gooey, and chocolaty, goodbye for now. I'll meet you again someday, but I don't need you anymore.
