Day 124

Friday, April 27, 2012

Ha, ha, ha..... Had to laugh, well at least smirk! Went to a BIG garage sale this morning and what do you think I found??? A really, really COOL jump rope!!!!! It has wooden handles that are way nice and BALL BEARINGS in the handles that allow the rope (yes, it's REAL cotton rope) to rotate when you jump. It's the fanciest jump rope I've ever seen. I thought now THIS will really give a little variety to my workouts!! How long has it been?? Oh, probably a minimum of 50 years since I've jumped rope, like when I was 10!! Anywho...I tried it out and it's really going to be a challenge. I never could've used it at all before I began with SP. Not a chance. Even with all of the fitness I've gained with so much walking, doing the hill and pumping iron I can only jump rope for a short period of time. Well now, that's the whole point isn't it?!?!?! Push yourself? Bring on the challenges?? Try something new? So for two bucks I added a little spice to my workouts!!

The Hill ~ monster cardio - check
Walking ~ 8.25 miles (102 min. cardio) 19,438 steps - check
Strength training ~ core, lower body - check
Intake ~ All good, all on track - no problems, no hunger, no cravings. A-OK!

So, it was a GREAT day!! The weather cooperated too. It was perfect for walking.

A big thank you if you had time to stop by to read this. Hope your day was super special!!!!!
