Freaked-out Friday

Friday, April 27, 2012

This week has been BRUTAL. I injured myself on Sunday. On Tuesday there was an overturned big rig on my commute in and I was half an hour late. On Wednesday my boss turned up at my desk twice to tell me how much I'm messing up. Thursday there were downed power lines on the route in, and I was half an hour late again. And my boss was RELENTLESS. She sent me one irate email saying, "This claim was denied for untimely filing while you had time to appeal. What are you going to do about it?" What I did was to email back screen shots of my notes showing I appealed it in JANUARY and from the payer's website showing that far from being denied, the claim is actually still in process. Can I be forgiven for heaving a sigh of relief when she left at 2:30 this afternoon?

Right now I'm watching Bobby and sipping a lime seltzer. I thought I'd earned some beer or wine tonight, but decided not to. I recorded a couple of shows that I like to watch tonight (not much on TV on Friday nights).

Tomorrow I get to pick up two packages at the post office. One is the yarn for Frank's birthday afghan. The other is my chef's apron and the new Chieftains CD. Then on Sunday I'm having breakfast out with friends.

Sixty hours until I have to think about Club Crazy again. Ahhh...
