I have been away from Spark People and I really do miss it. Life has been hectic and I have been focusing on WW and exercising and so computer time is limited. I am happy to report that I have been on a losing streak these past 6 months. I reached my spark goal I set in the fall. That feels wonderful. But lately I have been slacking in the eating department. It seems I have slipped back into old habits of overeating and eating for comfort. I don't like how it makes me feel either. I know I am up a few and I really don't want to go to my WW meeting tomorrow, but I think I should. I kind of want to hit the restart button and refresh. That is what brings me to Spark People. I think I need the connections here to get to my ultimate goal which is 20 pounds away. For now I am going to enjoy the ticker saying I reached my goal, because I surely did. But there is still another goal to be reached.
One great thing is that in the fall my blood pressure was creeping up and I was concerned that I would need to take medication to keep it in normal range. I am happy to report that my blood pressure is in normal limits again. The other great thing is that I can run 1.5 miles without stopping or slowing down. This may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but for me it is monumental. For one thing I never thought I would be able to do it and for another I never thought I would be able to do it.
Tomorrow I begin again a fresh and new. It is great to get to begin again!
