YEAH, YEAH, YEAH.....SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW?

Monday I started out on an enthusiastic note to start my
FULL SPEED AHEAD....
I'M GOING TO STICK TO ONLY LOW CARB... PLAN

And my inner child went on an almond binge.
When you are in that mode...you never remember that
It takes the brain 20 minutes to get to SATISFIED....
ERGO
If your hand to mouth reflexes are good....
it is truly amazing how many crunchy little nuggets you can devour.
This morning the scale reminded me of my faux pas (no progress)
BUT yesterday I stayed on track ...
this time paying as much attention to portions as to selections.

Live and learn...again and again.

Note to Self:
If you are going to go off the deep end...
go for fresh fruit AND a piece of cheese.
and
keep a few hard boiled eggs for standby emergency snacks.

  But you maintained (if I correctly read that "no progress" as a maintain) AND you stayed low carb and almonds are a superb no carb food, so you did good even if you ate too many cals from those almonds.

They are good chopped as an ingredient in low carb salads with egg or whatever, easier to control the amount.

Woot! You are doin' great!

I'm learning too. I heard about the benefits of coconut oil, so I've been using it... a bit too much. I'm not losing weight, and I also discovered that I have difficulty digesting fats. So, it really is a continual new beginning, with continual adjustments and tweaks. We can do this! emoticon

    Hey..the good news is that you did not gain..because you stayed low carb.

You are learning about your triggers and learning what works for you and what does not!
Good idea to keep healthy snacks for the attacks..also drink herbal tea.

I threw away some of my son's cookies that were looking way too appealing for the same reason!

    Hard boiled eggs are a staple in my house. Always available. Love them. But I love almonds too and you're right, they are sooooo easy to pop in and nibble on.
