3 days to a new start, and a new me

Friday, April 27, 2012

I begin my journey in 3 days. I am so excited, I can barely sit still. I have all my ducks in a row, my pantrys all sorted, my plastics thrown away. Will be using only glass vessels for all my foods. I am approaching this journey with a slower approach. I will still have fish and some chicken in my diet (clean eating) but will cut back to maybe 2 to 3 times a week. My plan is to work my way back to Vegan. But I need to do it like this, until I can afford only organic veges and fruits. I will do fruit smoothies for the first week with my normal food intake. One thing though nothing packaged or man made will come into this house. I am also taking dairy, eggs and all white foods (sugars, flours salt anything white) basically out of the picture. I then will work towards "Raw foods" then juice feasting when it's the appropriate time. I will keep my page open to let all my Spark friends know how the journey is going.

Well I truly cannot support any meat eating if one is truly wanting to get healthy. It slows down the process to almost a stand still. But, I do support anyone who is transitioning to a healthy eating program and you are. Just wanted to get that out there.

What about your salt consumption on those meats? Cut out salt altogether and no other seasoning and you won't like the meat that much but it will be healthier. Salt doesn't belong in our bodies.

Start eating 1/2 head of celery per day instead. Natural sodium is perfectly fine. Also it is in tomatoes. Do both.

Hey maybe we should start a Pyrex club. lol. I also use only glass containers including Ball jars for water/tea. Congrats.
