As some of you might know I have had a neck ache for some time,. emoticon
I finally went to my Dr. he sent me for x-rays ,he wanted me to have an MRI
(being claustrofobic I declined) emoticon
so off i go to have my "pictures" taken.
Tuesday I went to hear the news ,not good c 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 has some damage on them and I have to stop running.
I had just started back running 6 weeks ago, and loving it. emoticon
and on top of that I still have to have an MRI to make sure the spinal cord is ok,and that I do not have any nerve damage.Arrrgh
I am NOT a happy duck today.
So Now I have vented enough, it is off to gym for an elliptical workout ,wich the Dr. said was OK.

i am sorry to hear about your neck; but i must share something with you. My sister use to jog years ago, and started to have pains in her legs, and neck.. thus the doc told her it was due to jogging, and she had to stop.

Doc told her , that jogging is not a natural state for the human body, but walking is , so if she wanted to work out- then he wanted her to speed walk. Karen did not go for that, so she just quit.. i love the ellip. , and let me tell u .. it can get harder ... once u increase that number ! ha

Do not feel bad.. i am thinking karen"s doc was ahead of his time, and telling folks not to jog, it jars the body too much..

had an MRI... didn't feel that close, but then I am not claustrophobic. Suggest the meditation idea or see if they will play music that you like or think of it as forced relaxation.
Sorry to hear- that's a lot of damage area-- was it from previous injury??
Be glad you can still do elliptical. When my back issues came to a head, I couldn't even take walks for 5 months.

You know, while that is bad news....kind of, it is still good news. You are relatively healthy, no tumors, nerve issues or other spine problems. You are thin and look great. So I say, good news!

I am NOT claustrophobic, BUT I had an MRI about three months ago,, cervical.. it took about 45 minutes,,,
If you are into meditation, it works like a charm. They give you a buzzer(they call it a panic button) to hold,, the table slides into the tube,, it is very close,BUT I never opened my eyes until the end when they started sliding me out. I never saw how close I was,,, I meditated,, I was on the beach at St. Thomas, reliving my vacation years ago. I could hear the waves, eh birds, smell the flowers,etc..

I am glad that I did not have my eyes opened before I lid in there, it really did help it go by faster and easier. When I did open them I was happy they were sliding me out. You can do this..
