An Amazing Journey

Thursday, April 26, 2012

emoticon I didnt know how good this was going to feel, seeing the scale number going down and down, its amazing. I have lost 12 lbs in a month and I have not even met with the GB surgeon yet, the nutritionist said to keep on working as hard as I am and I may even be at my goal weight by appt with him, how exciting would that be. I cant imagine how I will feel once I get that surgery date, it will feel so real at that point. Every step of the way its becoming more and more of a reality, its really going to happen, I just cant wait emoticon I am so thankful to have my family, wonderful friends and now an amazing group of supporters here on Sparkpeople. God is Great. Until later this will do, just wanted to share my excitement, I am off to make my appointment with the surgeon.

I got my appointment with the surgeon (not a surgery date) it is May 10th, hopefully the weight keeps coming off like it has been and maybe just maybe I will be at the goal weight at that appointment emoticon

I'm with ya MNB!!! My surgeon consult is 5/16 and I also can't wait! I've been working getting ready for RNY and have lost 15 lbs. Facing a goal of having to lose an additional 120 lbs to goal weight to me is mind numbingly discouraging without the hope of help from WLS surgery.

I keep focusing on working hard and the success stories and ignoring those with negative comments. I wish they would get that WLS is a LAST resort after everything else didn't work!

I'm sending you positive thoughts!!
Happy Friday!
