I have a book called It's Your story Pass it On. In the book it asks you questions about your life. The purpose of the book is for you to write down things about your life so that your ancestors will have more than just numbers about you. I wish my dad had taken the time to have written something in it. He had wonderful stories that he would tell from time to time and I really wanted a way to record them so they could be told to his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Sadly, my kids never really took the time to get to know him. I was looking at one of the questions today. It talks about the treasures you found throughout your life and what they were. I get a scripture in my e-mail box every morning. Today it was Col 2:3 and it said In Him lie all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Sadly we don't see wisdom and knowledge as treasures do we? We think of Antiques Roadshow and the like. The Bible is full of hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered one more time. Though everyone can find them, they are personal. What we find will keep us from stumbling or saying the wrong thing. It will be the perfct advice at the right time and is never wrong. Sometimes the treasures are not where we expect to find them. Like reading a book full of the essence of who my father was. And finding the essence of Who my Father is.
