Viva La Revolution!

Today I did Day 2 of Jillian's Body Revolution (got it as an early birthday present = double awesome!).
Now I'm not following the diet plan cuz I'm more veganish than it is and I'm a much lazier cook than it requires. But I'm keeping to the calories and doing the workouts, and that's really what's going to make the difference, right?
So far I'm liking the workouts: Her nonstop banter is adorable. If constant talking bothers you I would NOT recommend BR, but I find it super entertaining. If you love her podcasts, you'll probably love this. And so far, the workouts are leaving me pretty sweaty and sore. Although honestly, I don't love the idea of doing the same cardio workout for an entire month. I like it, but that's a lot of repetition for one workout. I'm hoping Jillian won't mind if I occasionally swap it out for her old Cardio Kickbox dvd from her Winning By Losing series or her Kickbox FastFix dvd.
And in other news, today I wrote the midterm for one of my classes and packed all of tomorrow's food: a salad that started out a pita pocket but totally fell apart so I chopped everything up and made it into a salad (told ya I'm a lazy cook) and a bunch of snacks including an egg, some nuts, an apple, and some crazy purple carrots from my farmer's market co-op.
And I printed out a picture of a famous person for my American Sign Language class - we're working on descriptive signs so we're each bringing in a picture of a famous person to talk about/describe in class. I'm excited because A) this activity is based on a suggestion I made to teacher as a TA, and B) I finally thought of who I'm going to bring in a picture of!: Rachel Maddow. She's intelligent, good at what she does, and she doesn't fit the typical picture of "female tv news anchor". I mostly agree with her politics, and have a lot of respect for her for being who she is (as opposed to all made up with cleavage and hair extensions) as a female tv news anchor. And she also happens to be an adorable proud lesbian. And I don't think anyone else will bring a picture of her in and the defiant geek in me really likes that.
