Wonderful Workout Wednesday!

Started my morning off with 60 minutes of intervals on the elliptical, felt really good :) Showered, got all my stuff together for the executive meeting after my game, and headed off for the Prairie Harvest Café to have lunch with Probus members. The cold, strong wind had me freezing even though I was walking very fast to make it on time and got there in 15 minutes. I had the last table to myself until some others came in and finally the rest showed up. The food was actually very good, everything made from scratch. I enjoyed my veggie burger on a healthy home made whole grain bun. Even the ketchup was home made and everything was sourced right in our own province. I have to admit I have never seen black chic peas before, never knew they existed. My veggie burger was made up of lentils and chic peas, and basically crumbled to pieces, showing they weren't using any filler in making it. Cucumber, spinach and onion were the only condiments and a side of hummus. The beet and potato chips were like what you get with a bag of regular thin sliced potato chips -I couldn't tell the difference in flavors.
This was a noisy, boisterous group with two of the women dominating the conversation. The lady across from, me, a recently retired Dr., didn't say much at all, like me. We were asked what we did as work, as most of them are retirees, but that was about it. I didn't mind, I prefer to listen. Then I scrambled to make it to the bridge game on time and was pleased with a first place finish in our section, 4th overall of 23 tables.
The meeting went well, and I was given the complete responsibility of issuing the keys for the club, giving out codes and passwords. Before I just gave out the keys and the president took care of the PW and codes.
Then I had to rush home to make it in time, and discovered to my horror, my swim bag was missing!! It never came home with me from Mom's on the weekend and my leisure pass was attached to it :(( So I quickly phoned Mom and Angus kindly drove over here to give it to me. I thought I would be late, but made it with a few minutes to spare! Enjoyed myself, felt so good working out with these two classes, but was sad to learn they may not last much longer then this season. Attendance is way down -there were only six of us in kickboxing and 9 in step -they need 12 for a viable class. The problem is two new fitness facilities opened near this location, and has drawn people away from here. Glenn said the classes would be cancelled if it didn't improve :(
The long hot tub soak was a very pleasant end to my evening -it loosened up some sore muscles that were threatening to be a nuisance and I feel pleasantly tired. Draw back is a late supper 10 pm which is not enough time to digest before hitting the sack :(
